CIPC - UPDATING OF BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP
As from 1 April 2024, the Commission has introduced a hard-stop functionality preventing entities which have not complied with the Beneficial Ownership Filing requirement from completing the process of filing their annual returns. The Commission will take further enforcement actions with regards to entities who remain non-compliant.
The Registrar of Companies requires that ALL entities file their Beneficial Ownership Information by not later than 24 May 2024 to ensure compliance with the amended Companies Regulations which made the filing of the relevant information mandatory.
